Lewis is a self-shooting filmmaker, cameraman & award winning underwater photographer based in Falmouth, Cornwall. He is a CAA licensed drone pilot and HSE professional scuba diver. Experienced shooting specialist factual productions, science, natural history, adventure and documentary both broadcast and corporate. Experienced working with scientists and conservationists to help communicate environmental issues and to celebrate progress within nature conservation. I am incredibly passionate about my work and I always go above and beyond to make sure your production or story is the best it can be.
I am a HSE part 4 professional media diver & Dive-master - diving for 20+ years - and a competent and confident free-diver. I am equally comfortable and passionate shooting above and below the water and thrive off working in challenging environments. I have extensive experience using a wide range of camera equipment including aerial, underwater, long-lens and macro to multi-axis motion time-lapse set ups, gimbal operation and sync work. I enjoy working with people and have considerable experience shooting interviews and with presenters. I regularly self-produce short films and am confident taking projects from concept to delivery. Clients include WWF, Natural England, National Trust, RSPB, Monty Halls/ Seadog Productions, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Project Seagrass & Big Blue Ocean Clean Up. My stills work has been published in international and regional magazines including WWF- Action, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Oceanographic, and national newspapers such as The Times, The Guardian & The Daily Mail.
